The next wave of DITA leaders needs YOU 🌊
One week left to apply as a DITA host site for Summer 2027
The Diversity in the Arts Internship program is heading into its ninth summer of operation. That's nine summers of providing meaningful, paid summer jobs for creative young people in our communities. When DITA first got its start, paid internships were few and far between. We've cheered as that norm has changed over the years, and we still know our work is key to the arts community. But we can't make it happen without the cultural nonprofits of the Front Range! Host sites are where DITA interns learn what it's really like to be part of the cultural workforce in Colorado. DITA also prioritizes a workforce that represents the vibrant variety of our state. If your organization values diversity and cultivating young leaders, apply to host a DITA intern this summer!
What we look for in host sites:
Nonprofit organizations along the Front Range with a focus on arts/culture
Values aligned with fostering creative young leaders from all backgrounds
Infrastructure and team capacity to support an intern (desk space, payroll, etc.)
Full-time staff member who is enthusiastic about serving as the intern's supervisor
Meaningful project/job duties for the intern to work on throughout the summer

Colorado is changing all the time. When you host a DITA intern, you're ensuring that the future leaders of our cultural sector are experienced and equity-oriented. Host a DITA intern this summer and create the change you want to see in the world! Visit our website to read the full requirements and responsibilities of hosting a DITA intern.
Applications close Friday, November 13 at 7:00PM (MST)
